Nachdem das Anzufertigende von ihnen allen vollzählig ist, machen sie sich dann auf die Nahrungssuche, nämlich auf Nahrung beim Rudern, und zwar Bananen, Bataten und Taro(knollen).
After the things-to-be-made by them all are complete (in number), they then set about the search-for-food, namely for food during rowing, and specifically bananas, batatas and taro(-knolls).
Setelah segala-sesuatu-yang-akan-mereka-buat lengkap (jumlahnya), mereka kemudian memulai pencarian-makanan, yaitu makanan saat mendayung, khususnya pisang, ubi jalar, dan (umbi) talas.

ki hoo parudu'ui e'ana, e'anaha nahii muheku iuba 'anona ekapu.
Nachdem sie das gesammelt haben, setzen sie sich dann wieder ins Haus ihres Freundes, des Sippenvorstehers.
After they have collected that, they then sit down again in the house of their friend the clan-leader.
Setelah mereka mengumpulkannya, mereka kemudian duduk lagi di rumah teman mereka, si pemimpin klan.

dabu'ua no'oːi'ie: "he kahii panaua'a be 'eːika ka'ia'aoa epadi'ohu̇ka yahaːe ixoo u'ue!"
Sie sprechen folgendermassen: "Lasst uns wieder reden, weil wir unser Anzufertigendes ins Meer hinunterbringen werden."
They speak as follows: "Let us speak again, because we will take our things-to-be-made down to the sea."
Mereka berbicara sebagai berikut: "Mari kita bicara lagi, karena kita akan membawa segala-sesuatu-yang-akan-dibuat ke laut."

kano'oaha edi'uada.
So lauten ihre Worte.
So are their words.
Begitulah kata-kata mereka.

Sie besprechen wieder den Gang ans Meer.
They again discuss the walk to the sea.
Mereka pun kembali membahas perjalanan ke laut.

ke'anaha ka'i'ikaha edopo, dahii bupuakaha dahaːe i'ue daba'aropoo i'ue.
Und als es hell wird, brechen sie wieder ans Meer auf, (und) sie bleiben zwei (Nächte =) Tage am Meer.
And when it becomes light (dawns=) they again set out to the sea, (and) they stay at the sea for two (nights=) days.
Dan ketika hari terang (=fajar) mereka kembali ke laut, (dan) mereka tinggal di laut selama dua (malam=) hari.

adu̇hu̇da e'ana dabaixa iuba.
Danach kommen sie nach Hause.
Thereafter they come home.
Setelah itu mereka pulang.

kabahaːe ekaha'o, dahii bahaːe dapadudu iuba 'anona ekapu.
(Wenn) die Sonne untergeht, gehen sie wieder und versammeln sich im Hause ihres Freundes, des Sippenvorstehers.
(When) the sun sets they go again and congregate in the house of their friend the clan-leader.
(Ketika) matahari terbenam mereka pergi lagi dan berkumpul di rumah teman mereka, si pemimpin klan.

dabu'ua no'oːi'ie: "he 'ika'a kaicixia ka'anoka kahabaːuba ma'aoa!"
Sie sagen: "Wohlan, wir werden unsere Freunde, die einem Dorfverband angehören, rufen!"
They say: "Alright, we will call our friends who belong to a village-community!"
Mereka berkata: "Baiklah, kami akan memanggil teman-teman kami yang berasal dari satu komunitas desa!"

kano'oaha epanakoo uijida.
So kommen sie überein.
So they come to agree.
Jadi mereka setuju.

ke'anaha dabupeeha eiji yahaːe i'ioo ka'anona kahabaːuba ma'aoa e'ana.
Dann senden sie ihren Freunden, die einem Dorfverband angehören, Nachricht.
Then they send word to their friends who belong to a village-community.
Kemudian mereka mengirim kabar kepada teman-teman mereka yang berasal dari satu komunitas desa.

ke'anaha eapanakoo uhapu̇'adia ki kipakukua'a e'ana kabaixa ka'anona kidera e'ana.
Und (nachdem) die Zeit erfüllt ist, die sie vereinbarten, kommen alle jene ihre Freunde.
And (after) the time is fulfilled, upon which they agreed, all those their friends come.
Dan (setelah) waktunya terpenuhi, yang mereka sepakati, semua teman mereka pun datang.

dabadodeha udohoao, dahaːe i'oki, dapa'uohoha ixoo u'ue e'ana.
Sie tragen die Boote auf der Schulter ans Meer und (legen =) setzen sie ins Meer.
They carry the boats to the sea on the shoulder (i.e. on their shoulders) and set them into the sea.
Mereka membawa perahu ke laut di pundak (yaitu di pundak mereka) dan meletakkannya di laut.

ke'anaha napanu̇ku̇hu̇a'aha eixu udohoao e'ana, kamina'aːuaha ekaka e'ana itohoao.
Dann richten sie den Bug der Boote aus, und die Leute steigen in die Boote.
Then they adjust the prow of the boats and the people get into the boats.
Kemudian mereka menyesuaikan haluan perahu dan orang-orang yang naik ke perahu.

ke'anaha dabahoːijixa e'ana dabahaːeha ikududia mo'o ki hoo bu'ua.
Dann paddeln sie nach der Landzunge, die sie bereits nannten.
Then they paddle towards the tongue-of-land, which they already mentioned.
Kemudian mereka mendayung menuju lidah-pulau/ tanjung, yang telah mereka sebutkan sebelumnya.

"anio hemo'o kaududa'a baku̇'u̇a ikududia ea'a e'ana hemo'o 'ika ki'uaha eahaːe edohoao," kano'oaha eijida.
"Das, welches zuerst an der Landzunge ankommt, ist das, von dem wir als dem schnellsten Boot sprechen," so sind ihre Worte.
"That which first arrives at the tongue-of-land is that of which we speak as the fastest boat," so are their words.
"Yang pertama tiba di lidah-pulau/ tanjung adalah yang kita sebut sebagai perahu tercepat," begitulah kata-katanya.

ke'anaha eahoːijida dahaːe ikududia e'ana.
Und dann paddeln sie nach der Landzunge.
And then they paddle for the tongue-of-land.
Dan kemudian mereka mendayung menuju lidah-pulau.

kamoho edohoao mo'o kaniu̇ ebu̇du̇ahaːu ne'eni e'ana hemo'o kaududa'a baku̇'a ikududia hemo'o kidixoo bu'ua ne'eni.
Und das Boot, welches das ebIdIahau (-Holz-Boot) heisst, ist das, welches zuerst an der Landzunge ankommt, von der vorhin die Rede war.
And the boat which is called the ebIdIahau (-wood-boat) is that which first arrives at the tongue-of-land of which was spoken before.
Dan perahu yang disebut ebIdIahau (perahu kayu) adalah yang pertama kali tiba di lidah-pulau yang telah disebutkan sebelumnya.

no'oaha eahoːiji udohoao kaniu̇ epahicepea'a.
So war das Paddeln der Boote, welches das 'Bootsrennen' (epahit'epea'a) heisst.
So was the paddling of the boats which is called the 'boat-race' (epahit'epea'a).

ke'anaha dahii abakude ikududia e'ana, dahii bai yaroa'aːoada ne'eni e'ana.
Dann kommen sie von der Landzunge zurück, sie kommen wieder an ihren Auslaufensort.
Then they come back from the tongue-of-land, they come again to their place-of-departure.
Kemudian mereka kembali dari lidah-pulau, mereka kembali ke tempat keberangkatan mereka semula.
Note:  "Auslaufensort" is specifically the place from which a boat departs. 

dahii bai e'ana dabaku̇'u̇a idida kahii baududa'a edohoao mo'o ebu̇ru̇ahaːu ne'eni e'ana.
Als sie zurückkommen und dort anlangen, läuft das ebIdIaha:u(-Holz-Boot) wieder als erstes ein.
When they come back and arrive there, the ebIdIaha:u(-wood-boat) again arrives first.
Ketika mereka kembali dan tiba di sana, ebIdIaha: u (perahu kayu) kembali sampai terlebih dahulu.

e'ana hemo'o kaududa'a baku̇'a iaroa'aːoada.
Das ist es, welches zuerst an ihrem Auslaufensort ankommt.
It is that which first arrives at their place-of-departure.
Perahu itu yang pertama kali tiba di tempat keberangkatan mereka.

e'ana edohoao kidi'ua eahaːe kaudu.
Von diesem Boot wird gesagt 'das Gehen ist voran' (eahae kaudua) (d.h. es fährt an der Spitze).
Of this boat is said 'the going is in front' (eahae kaudua) (i.e. it goes at the front). 
Perahu ini dikatakan 'pergi di depan' (eahae kaudua) (yaitu, berjalan di depan).

kia kipahokai i'ioo ka'anonia kidera.
Es lässt (das) aller seiner Freunde zurück.
It leaves (that) of all its friends behind.

dakubodeha edohoao e'ana, dapaki'opo ixoo u'ue, dabahe'ea'aːoha ukaraha udohoao i'ioo u'ea kaniu̇ edahaboa.
Sie nehmen die Boote auf die Schulter, drehen sie im Meer um und polieren die Bootsrümpfe mit Steinen, die 'Bimssteine' heissen, 
They take the boats onto the shoulder (i.e. onto their shoulders), turn them around in the sea and polish the ship's-undersides with stones which are called 'pumice-stones'.
Mereka membawa perahu ke bahu (yaitu ke bahu mereka), memutarnya di laut dan memoles bagian bawah perahu dengan batu yang disebut 'batu apung'.

namuna'a edo'orao, dapa'uoho ikaraha udohoao, dabe'ea'a i'ioo udahaboa yahuea paraːu'uo ekaraha udohoao.

so that the ship's-undersides become thoroughly smooth.

And after that is finished, they take them onto the shoulder (i.e. onto their shoulders) and come home again.

ke'anaha dabaha'ia'aːoha uu'a ebaba, enako, e'udopo, ekoyo, e'aːiyo ekinipau, ekixijia.
Alsdann tragen sie die Nahrung, nämlich Bataten, reife Bananen, Taro(knollen), Schweine(fleisch), Fische, gestampfte reife Bananen und in Scheiben geschnittene reife Bananen hinunter.
Then they carry the food, namely batatas, ripe bananas, taro(-knolls), pigs(-meat), fish, pounded ripe bananas and ripe bananas cut into slices down.
Kemudian mereka membawa makanan, yaitu ubi jalar, pisang matang, (umbi) talas, (daging) babi, ikan, pisang matang yang ditumbuk dan pisang matang yang dipotong-potong.

e'ana emehe ka'anona ki kipeea.
Das ist die Nahrung für ihre Freunde, die sie (ihnen) geben werden.
That is the food for their friends which they will give (them).
Itulah makanan untuk teman-temannya yang akan mereka berikan.

namuna'a eokoro'oːi dabukaro'oːixi itopo ixoo uka'aːudara e'ana.
Sie holen die Unterlagen und breiten sie im Dorf auf der Erde aus.
They fetch the mats and spread them out on the ground in the village.

Then they carry the already mentioned food down and lay it onto the mats.

Danach erhebt sich der Sippenvorsteher, der das Paddeln veranstaltete.
Thereafter the clan-leader who organised the paddling rises.

The people rise and sit down in a circle around the food.
Orang-orang berdiri dan duduk melingkar mengelilingi makanan.

kamoho ekapu e'ana kabu'ua no'oːi'ie i'ioo ka'anonia: "pu̇kaua'a emehekahii ka'anoka 'anohanaːi'ia!"
Und der Sippenvorsteher spricht zu seinen Freunden: "Teilt unsere Zukost mit unseren Freunden von den zwei Schlachtplätzen!"

ke'anaha namupu̇kana'a (=namixa) eu'a e'ana, namanoo 'anohanaːi'ia.
Dann verteilen sie die Nahrung, und die (Angehörigen der) beiden Schlachtplätze essen.
Then they distribute the food and the (members of the) two slaughtering-places eat.
Kemudian mereka membagikan makanan dan (anggota dari) dua tempat-pemotongan pun memakannya.

no'oaha e'ana.
So war es.

Begitulah adanya.

adu̇hu̇da ki ke'anaha epakenena hii ka'anona e'ana, dahaːe iubada e'ana.
Wenn sie (damit) fertig sind, dann verabschieden sie sich von ihren Freunden, (und) sie gehen in ihre Häuser.
When they are finished (with this) then they take their leave of their friends, (and) they go into their houses.
Setelah mereka selesai (dengan hal ini) maka mereka pamit pada teman-temannya, (dan) mereka pergi ke rumah mereka.
